The roof is on! Now the weather doesn't matter anymore which is nice. We took the girls inside for the first time tonight. I wish we could know what they were thinking. The plumber was out today and put in one of the bathtubs. He'll be back at it on Monday. The electric service has been brought to the house and should go live early next week.

Tuesday

The first pic is of our master bedroom. Second pic is of the basement bedroom. Third pic is of the living/dining area. And the fourth is pretty obvious. Looks like we may see some shingles go on tomorrow.

More Walls...

This is the scene Monday evening.

We have walls!

Today they were able to frame up a few walls, mainly the garage. We were able to stand in our garage!! What a nice feeling. If the weather stays dry, the walls and roof should be completed by Thursday.

Moving right along.

Basement and garage floors were poured today and they will be cured by morning. The framing should start tomorrow and take about 4 days with no rain. Unfortunately rain is in the forecast for every single day next week. :-(

Waterproofing Done

So today the waterproofing of the basement was completed. Tomorrow the plumber will come and lay the pipes that will be covered by the concrete floor.

Floor Plan

For all the inquiring minds. Here is the floor plan of our new house. This is a ranch and the open staircase in the plan leads to a basement that we hope to finish in the coming year. It will have a family/TV room, game room, office and a guest bedroom.
For now the plan is for Lilly and Ella to share the front bedroom and the room behind the garage will be the nursery since it is the smallest and closest to the master.
